It’s almost hot here today! How hot is it you ask?
So warm that my beloved Wilderness Family Naturals Coconut oil is mushy and almost a liquid….just a few days ago I need to use a pick to get any out of the jar. Now I can freely lather myself up when I get out of the shower! I’m not a huge fan of the taste of coconut oil which is why I am so excited to have the expeller pressed version from Wilderness Family Naturals…it doesn’t taste like coconut! So can get all the great health promoting properties plus a stable oil for higher heat cooking and not have to subject my family to having everything taste like coconut. I get mine from Azure Standard online (I’m not an affiliate). It’s an awesome deal at $12 for 32 ounces. So stock up and kiss me later.
New Workshops!
May 19, Sunday – Intro to Ferments (Basic Vegetables and My Amazing Mayo)
June 2, Sunday – Odd Bits (Focus on Organ Meats) I promise that you will find one or five that you love and can’t wait to cook in your own kitchen!
New Recipes
Don’t miss the delicious Troll Bites (Pizza Flavored Mini Quiches) I made for my daughter’s Harry Potter Themed Potluck. My kids are on their third batch of these already! (They love them for breakfast) I like being able to pack them for a quick snack for when I out and about and away from my kitchen.
If you have troubles with starches than I might have a trick or two that can make them easier for you enjoy without upsetting your belly or throwing off your blood sugar. Keep in mind this is not a suggestion to eat a boatload of this if you have issues 😉
Have you tried Fermented Fries yet? Than ya gotta click for the recipe! This was also a guest post on the Divine From The Inside Out in April. This also works with sweet potatoes and yams!
